Broadband Running Slow
There are many things that might make your internet run slowly.
First check and see what version of your current browser you are running.
Try and update your internet browser to the most current version. Check your speed now and then after to make sure there is an improvement. If no improvement see below for further trouble shooting idea’s.
If you are running Internet explorer try installing Mozilla Firefox it’s a more stable browser with out so many bugs and fixes. The spy ware that has been developed to attack Internet Explorer has been out there a long time and constantly being redeveloped to counter Microsoft’s efforts. Mozilla is not as widely known and hasn’t bore the brunt of the internet spy ware junkies yet.
If your have been running Kazaa and other file sharing programs be aware they are chock full of all sorts of spy ware nasties. Many of which attack and modify Internet explorer.
Check your firewall settings and your security settings many times these are set to high or even out of date. There have been instances ware people have upgraded to a different internet security program and this slowed there broadband speed. Turn your settings to low of off for 5 min’s and surf the web on trusted sites only and see how fast your broadband speed runs
