As the World Wide Web grows, so do the new names and words that generate from the development and misuse of the web. Phishing is one of these words. Phishing means to fraudulently gain or acquire your passwords and or pin numbers credit card information ect… with out your knowledge. Of course acquiring a password or pin number without your permission is now criminal. Phishing is tricking someone thru E-mail or other internet means to obtain your personal information to use for illegal means.
Anti-Phishing
Anti Phishing Means programs and or software that help detect Phishing E-mails or Phishing websites. It was estimated in 2004 57 million Americans received Phishing E-mails in 2004 alone, 5% were successful. It is all of our duties to report any Phishing activities.
